Grilled Hoisin Marinated Pork Chops With Pineapple-Grilled Green Onion Relish

Ingredients:
1 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 garlic cloves, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
8 double-cut thick pork chops
Pineapple and grilled green onion relish (follows)
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Instructions:
Combine hoisin sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and sesame oil in small bowl. Place pork chops in shallow baking dish. Pour hoisin mixture over pork, and turn several times to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 3 to 4 times, turning once.
Meanwhile, prepare pineapple and grilled green onion relish. Preheat grill. Remove pork from marinade, removing any excess marinade. Season with salt and pepper. Grill 6 to 7 minutes on each side for medium-well donenessPineapple-grilled green onion relish
2 green onions
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 small, ripe pineapple, peeled and diced
1 small jalapeņo chile, cored, seeded and finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped cilantro
Preheat grill.
Brush green onions with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill the onions almost until cooked through (about 3 minutes). Remove from grill and finely slice. Place onions, pineapple and chile in medium bowl, and stir to combine. Add remaining ingredients. Serve at room temperature.
